The Robertson County Highway Department operates under the Tennessee County Uniform Highway Law and Private Act 1947. Robertson County has an elected Road Commission (1 per 2 voting districts). This commission appoints the Highway Superintendent and exercises general control and authority over the location, relocation, construction, reconstruction, repair and maintenance of the County road system, including bridges except in cases of State roads and bridges. This office also keeps current the official road map of the County as required by law.
