Personalized or Cultural Plates

Personalized and cultural plates applications must be made in advance to the State office. The standard personalized or cultural plate cost $35.00 extra each year in addition to the regular tag and wheel tax amounts. A cultural plate that is personalized costs an additional $70.00 each year in additon to the regular tag and wheel tax amount. For example a personalized tag in Robertson County would be 145.25 each year. To have that plate personalized the cost would be 180.25 each year. Applications forms for the personalized and college plates are enclosed in the renewal notices mailed to motorists before the expiration of their current tag.

For a personalized tag to be manufactured and returned to the County Clerk's office by the 25th of any month, the application must reach the State office by the last day of the preceding month.

Citizens with a valid tag must bring in the current plate to the Clerk's office before being issued the personalized or college plate.
